Welcome to Project Wonder! We are a youth empowerment program dedicated to shaping the future of our communities by developing outstanding character, promoting value for community, and fostering physical ability in our youth. Our programs are designed to empower young athletes with social-emotional learning (SEL) curriculum, as well as provide them with opportunities for athletic performance training and growth in their chosen sport.
At Project Wonder, we believe that character development is just as important as physical ability. We strive to instill in our participants the values of teamwork, discipline, and respect, which will not only help them succeed on the field but also in all aspects of their lives. Our SEL curriculum is specifically tailored to address the unique challenges that young athletes face and equip them with the skills necessary to navigate those challenges.
In addition to our SEL curriculum, we have established partnerships with local sports organizations that offer some of the best athletic performance training and opportunities in their respective sports. Our current partnerships include crossfit, seven on seven, and flag football, and we are always seeking new opportunities to expand our offerings and provide our participants with the best resources available.
We believe that through our programs, we can make a positive impact on the lives of our youth, and ultimately create a brighter future for our communities. Thank you for your interest in Project Wonder, and we look forward to working with you!
Our mission at Project Wonder is to empower and inspire the next generation of leaders through the development of outstanding character, value for community, and physical ability. We aim to provide young athletes with the tools and resources necessary to achieve their full potential, both on and off the field. Through our social-emotional learning curriculum and partnerships with local sports organizations, we seek to foster a culture of teamwork, discipline, and respect, while promoting healthy lifestyles and a love for physical activity. At Project Wonder, we are committed to creating a brighter future for our communities by investing in the youth of today.
Alyssa is a visionary leader with a deep passion for empowering at-risk youth to overcome adversity and achieve their full potential. She holds a degree in psychology, which she has used to inform her work in the field of youth development.
Alyssa's journey began on the basketball court, where she discovered a love for sports and the powerful impact they can have on young people's lives. She went on to play college basketball, where she honed her skills as a leader and teammate.
After college, Alyssa began working with at-risk youth in a STRTP (Short-Term Residential Therapeutic Program), where she gained valuable experience in working with young people who had experienced trauma and other challenges. This experience inspired her to pursue a career in youth development, with a focus on helping young people overcome obstacles and achieve their goals.
Alyssa is also a certified fitness coach, and she believes in the importance of physical activity and healthy living as a key component of overall well-being. She has used her expertise in fitness to develop programs that combine sports and fitness with character development, creating a holistic approach to youth development.
As a survivor of childhood trauma herself, Alyssa is deeply committed to helping young people overcome adversity and achieve success. Her own experiences have given her a unique perspective on the challenges that young people face, and she is passionate about using her skills and knowledge to make a positive impact on their lives.
We are proud to be led by a founder who is so dedicated to our mission, and we are grateful for Alyssa's vision and leadership. Thank you for your interest in our organization, and we look forward to working with you to empower young people to achieve their full potential.
